  7. This note describes the problems and limitations that we
  8. are aware of at version 1.0.3 shipping time. 
  9. Going over the list carefully may help you avoid these problems.

  15. Editor’s Problems & Limitations
  16.  
  17. Major Problems:
  18. •    Adding images larger then 850kb, or images with less then 72dpi, may not be 
  19. possible due to memory shortage. 
  20. Workaround: Increase the ClickWorks application's memory allocation. To increase 
  21. memory allocation, select 'Get Info' from the Finder's File menu when ClickWorks 
  22. is selected. Type in a  larger value for Preferred Size.
  23. •    Deleting a folder which contains many clones with media, may cause a crash.

  25. Incompatibilities:
  26. •    ClickWorks is incompatible with Aaron System extension.
  27.  
  28. Other Limitations & Problems:
  29. •    Can not undo Drag & Drop of a box from one screen to another. 
  30. •    Copied box name is the same as original if duplicated by Drag & Drop + Option 
  31. (Alt) key. This may cause difficulties when using the box within expressions.
  32. Workaround: Use Copy/Paste from the Edit menu.
  33. •    Working with many clones slows down Editor’s speed.
  34. •    ClickWorks does not support playing ‘Macromedia Director 5’ documents. Only 
  35. versions 3.x and 4.x are supported.
  36. •    When the Background box is gray, un-selected empty boxes may be hard to see.
  37. •    Create a color and assign it to text. If that color is then changed, the color of the 
  38. text does not reflect the change.
  39. •    When a transparent text box is being edited - text selection may be hard to see.
  40. •    Deleting many boxes that appear in the time palette may cause a refresh problem 
  41. in the palette. Workaround: close and reopen the time palette.
  42. •  Guida di ClickWorks™ (Italian OnLine Help) - Due to a limitation in the standard Geneva font, the italian OnLine Help may show upper case A with an acute accent ( Á ) as a square. This will be fixed in future releases.
  43. •  Preview for AIFF and WAV sounds from within the Add Media dialog does not function.

  45. Player’s Problems & Limitations
  46.  
  47. •    Print effect doesn't work while background printing is selected IF the presentation 
  48. hides the finder.
  49. Workaround: Instruct the end-users to turn off background printing, or avoid hiding the 
  50. finder if you want your presentation to print at runtime.
  51. •    There is noticeable performance degradation when several QuickTime movies are 
  52. played simultaneously.
  53. •    Media may disappear due to shortage of memory at runtime. 
  54. Workaround: Increase the Player’s memory partition.
